Christmas 19

Hello all! D here.

Well, it was straight home from work and into the kitchen on Monday. The baking bug kept biting me, so I made Christmas Rocky Road. This sweet treat is always very popular in our small corner, and now we have some Chocolate Orange Rocky Road and some Chocolate Mint Rocky Road ready for Christmas.

Hopefully, it will last until then!

I'm not sure that D's Rocky Road will last very long :-)

While D has been busy in the kitchen, I have started putting together some felt trees for a project. You can see the trees today, and I shall finish it tomorrow.

Have a good day, everyone.

    1. D likes to try out different versions of Rocky Road but it is such a very sweet treat that only a small piece can be eaten at one time. It is always delicious!

  2. It's very industrious in your house - delights for the eyes - and nose - everywhere.

    1. Yes, but you don't see the messy side of the crafting or all the washing up that piles up after a baking session and the jobs that have been neglected. Still we are having fun here and enjoying what we do.

    1. Don't think the dentist will be too pleased with all this sugar overload but we'll keep quiet about it :-)

  5. You made sweet Christmas tree pendants... we put our tree in the room on Friday and decorate it until Sunday morning so that it can light up for the first time on Christmas Eve... and it's so nice when the pine green smells :-)))
Your cake looks great... it would definitely be something for me too.
I followed your tip with Jane's Patisserie. I baked the m&m brownies... an absolute dream... I had a lot of family members there and everyone was thrilled - it's a cake that isn't known in our region - It was a complete success... thank you very much for the tip . I'll definitely bake again, maybe even with nuts.
A warm greeting to you both from Viola

The scent from your pine tree will be lovely and fill every room with Christmas perfume.
I was very happy with the tree decorations and they are now hanging up in the conservatory.
Christmas greetings and good wishes to you from B and D xx
