Christmas 4

Hello, and welcome to day four on our journey to Christmas Day.

Yesterday, we woke up to a very small amount of snow on the ground, and the garden disappeared for a few hours until it melted away. Underneath the snow were still plants that would survive the winter; some have their brightest colours now. There are also several plants inside the house that flower now or take centre stage at Christmas.

A visit to a local garden centre found a few more plants to enjoy at Christmas. These flowers and plants made me smile yesterday.

Have a lovely day everyone x

  1. I love the hellebores and cyclamen and have loads in our garden, I have bulbs as well, hoping they will flower for Christmas.

    1. I think we all crave some colour at this time of year and hellebores and cyclamen are perfect for the job. I hope you have lots of beautiful colour for Christmas with your bulbs x

  2. A visit to the garden centre gave you the opportunity to purchase some pretty, seasonal plants. We had heavy snow overnight on Sunday. Our world is white as the snow has frozen here in Yorkshire. Take care, stay warm.

    1. We have been fortunate that we only had a small amount of snow here but it is going to be a very rainy week in this corner. Take care in your frozen corner x

  3. Beautiful plants - it's so lovely to have colour in the garden and house when it's dark for so many hours.

    1. Yes. It's the same here. Pouring with rain all day and for the next few days at least. At least I can enjoy some colourful blooms inside the house for now :-)
