Good morning, and welcome to day 3 of this Christmas marathon.
Let me introduce you to Miss Mouse. She is part of a collection of knitted toys created by Jean Greenhowe. She also has some cousins who enjoy the other three seasons. I shall make them for another time.
Miss Mouse looks lovely in her green cape and bonnet, and muff to keep her paws warm. I used a few small yarn scraps to make her, so she cost nothing but a bit of time. I wonder what is wrapped up in her parcel?
I hope your own Christmas activities are going well and that you have a good day.
See you tomorrow x
Miss Mouse is delightful, and looks lovely and warm in her cape. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Jules. Miss Mouse is very sweet all dressed up to be outside. I remember my Nanna making a muff for me which was very cosy to wear and it kept my hands lovely and warm x
DeleteI do like Miss Mouse - very sweet.
ReplyDeleteAgain, she only took an evening or two to make but is very sweet. I will try and make her cousin in the Spring.
DeleteMissMouse is lovely and very festive too:)
ReplyDeleteShe does look very festive and she obviously has done her Christmas shopping. I'm a bit behind on that front at the moment x
DeleteYour little knitted mouse is so sweet! I remember Jean Greenhowe's knitting patterns in Woman's Weekly many decades ago! x
ReplyDeleteThank you Simone. I used Jean's patterns a lot when my children were young. They had a whole menagerie of knitted characters to play with.
DeleteOh she is adorable!!! I love this!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise x
DeleteSo cute
ReplyDeleteThank you Melody. It is good to hear from you again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie. I love Jean Greenhowe's designs - they are so 'knittable' and so satisfying to make. xx
ReplyDeleteI think I might be rediscovering Jean Greenhowe patterns, especially these very small designs. They are so good for using up small amounts of yarn x
DeleteWonderful...
ReplyDeleteI am your fan :-)))
Lots of love to you.
Thank you Viola. Happy Christmas wishes to you x
