Hello everyone. I hope it has been a good week for you all.
It has been a quiet(ish) week here in this small corner. I have just been pottering and doing some chores that I didn't get done when the weather was too hot.
We did enjoy a meal out at a country pub with some friends midweek, which was really lovely. Delicious food, good friends and lots of chat. It was a perfect lunch.
Back home in the garden, I mentioned to hubby that we could do with some edging around some of the beds, which had been used for potatoes this year. The soil had been drifting onto the gravel paths, and some weeds had been making a new home there. This is how it looks at the end of one week. Everything has been cleared apart from this bright red Potentilla, and two beds have been edged. There are two more still to be completed on the opposite side of the path, but that is for another week. They will need a little more fresh compost/soil, and then I can have fun replanting the spaces.
Leaving hubby to his little project, I picked up my phone and took a few photos of plants around our back garden.
This coming week is going to be very warm again, but hubby and I have decided to take a short break here in the UK. We have booked to stay in Matlock, Derbyshire, and from there plan to take a few days out to enjoy the surrounding area. D will be on hand to keep an eye on the blog and handle everything else. Thank you, D.
Have a wonderful week, everyone, whatever your plans may be, and take special care if you are due for more excessive temperatures.
B x
