Christmas 2

Good morning, everyone.

We are back for day two and a trip down Memory Lane. It's pretty close, though, just a couple of years.

December 2021 was the first time I tried to post something about the Christmassy activities I had worked on during the month. Exhausting as it was, it was also a lot of fun. Here are some of the things I enjoyed the most.

I made this artificial wreath from ribbon - a lot of ribbon! When I brought it out after 11 months of hibernation, it looked as fresh as when I made it. Hopefully, it will last for many years.

Here is another quick project. I repurposed an old table mat with some Christmas decoupage paper, and a few glittery reindeer and now it is ready for the Christmas table.

I do love gingerbread, and this little fellow and some friends are making a welcome return to our festivities.

This was a very fun project; it just required a roll of brown paper, some children's acrylic paint and a homemade potato stencil. And then lots of finger painting.

This was my first rag doll, and I was so pleased with her. She has detachable wings, so she can be really angelic.

A little Christmas jewellery.

I painted these acetate berries with glass paints. Snowmen and Santa have since joined them to decorate the front porch.

A reminder of the Christmas pudding awaiting us on Christmas Day. I made several of these, which hang on our tree.

I made this happy trio over a couple of years following the patterns created by Jean Greenhowe.

Finally, this old stocking had previously contained some branded candles but could have been more exciting. Again, I found some scraps of material and prettified the cuff.

So now the challenge is to find some new things to share for Christmas 2023.

Hello!

As Mum strolled through some Christmas crafts, one of my favourites was the little trio: Father Christmas, Mrs Christmas, and their little helper. They are really sweet, and they look lovely on our mantelpiece.

Have a great day everyone!

    1. You are so kind, Donna. These were all projects I did for Christmas 2021. They certainly kept my brain active all month. I thought it would be nice to share them again.
And yes, there are lots of things I can't do or have never tried, so I am just enjoying what I can do.
The sun is shining here and it looks like a good day. Take care x

    1. Thank you. Each year I like to try and make a few more things. I might need a bigger box to store them in next year :-)

    1. Thank you Jules. It was great to bring them all out of storage and remember making them. The wreath was fun to do but so much ribbon. I hope you manage to make your own wreath today. Take care x

  5. You have made so many lovely things. I love the fresh green colour of the wreath - it could also be used as a spring wreath if you replaced the pine cones and berries with something seasonal such as spring flowers and bunnies! x
