Easter 2024

Hello everyone. Beverley and D here.

This weekend is Easter, and we want to wish you all a happy weekend, whether you are celebrating or not.

We will add this little Easter project to our twiggy tree with all the other decorations made so far this year. It was based on a design by Sharon Welch in her book 'Cross-stitch Cards'.

It is the school Easter holiday, and D has been enjoying her time off work. She has been doing some Easter baking, including Easter flapjacks and cookies—both from her favourite baker, Jane's Patisserie.

The flapjacks and cookies are very yummy, but they won't last long in this small corner.

D has also finished one of her long-term projects this week. She has been working on and off this pretty blue scarf for a number of years, and now it is done. It is warm and cosy, and she is very pleased with it.

However, the sun is shining outside right now, so I don't think D will need to use her new scarf this weekend. :-)

Whatever your own plans are, both D and I wish you a wonderful weekend.

B and D x

  1. Happy Easter! I often leave your blog with my mouth watering at the sight of the baking, those flapjacks wouldn't last long here, one of my favourites! The scarf is such a pretty colour, I'm sure there's still time to wear it this year, I've been well wrapped up this past week for although the sun may be shining, it's still very cold at times.

    1. Happy Easter to you, Jo.
D is really pleased you like the flapjacks. They are a firm favourite here. This is the second scarf she has finished and she has one more to complete. She will be very cosy if the weather stays chilly for a while longer.

I like the look of the baking here, looks very tasty.

That scarf is very nice, beautiful shades of blue.

    1. Thank you Jan. I hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend and that April will be a good month for you. D's scarf is very pretty. It was one of those yarns that changed shades as it went along. We are having some of D's cookies this evening. Delicious!

  10. Happy Easter! Those bakes look amazing, and I'm certain they wouldn't last long here, either.
And I love the scarf. It was sunny here yesterday, but the wind is still making it feel chilly. Xx

    1. Hi Jules. We had a lovely Easter, thank you. Amazingly there is still a few pieces of D's flapjack left but not for long. She is also pleased that you like her latest scarf. It is a lovely colour. For the moment the weather is being kind to us and the sun is shining quite brightly. Happy April days to you x
